It has been quite the day.
Tonight, President Obama announced to the United States and the world that an American special operations force killed Osama Bin Laden in Pakistan today, and now have custody of his body. I was sitting in my apartment kitchen when my roommate came in the front door with the news, and we turned on the TV and watched the president's speech.
It's a historic day, to be sure, and while terrorism isn't over, we've definitely gained a psychological victory. It's crazy to think this has all been in my generation's lifetime--it has been almost 10 years since 9/11.
My favorite part of President Obama's speech tonight?
God bless America.
